Feel free to explore further on your own, such as using different text and colors. Always remember to save your work. 2. Change either the color or Theme of your page - due 9/9/10
To change your wiki's colors or theme, click on Manage Wiki then Look and Feel.
3. Create a Biography page.
Create a new page titled Bio & enter basic information about yourself (do not use your last name). - due 9/13/10
Some things you may want to include: Name (first only), family, hobbies, job, goals.
Just explain who are you and what is important to you.
Add a picture to the page - it can be of you or one you have downloaded from the internet (no copyrighted images though) - due 9/16/10
Go into edit mode, then select file, enter the name where you have your picture stored, then upload & select. (these steps also work if you wanted to add a powerpoint or word document)
Add an external link to the page - due 9/16/10
For example you can link to your favorite (school appropriate) video on youtube.
Go into edit mode, then select link, then external link, then give your link a name (under link text) and enter the URL address.
Now I want you to take that same video and embed it in the page so you can see the difference. due 9/20/10
Go to your youtube video and under the video you will see a "button" that says <embed> click this and a code will come in a box, copy that for the next step.
In your wiki, go into edit mode, then select widget, then other HTML, in the box you will insert the embed code which you got from the video.
Lastly create a link from your Bio page to the home page - this is an internal link. due 9/20/10
